JIM THOMPSON SILK PAVILION

Silk weaving is a local Isan tradition that Jim Thompson Farm is proud to help preserve. In this exhibition, you will learn about Jim Thompson’s unique silk production process. It starts with the cultivation and breeding of silk worms (sericulture), raising them to produce fibers, reeling silk, pushing cotton, dyeing, and finally, the downstream process of weaving silk threads into beautiful patterned fabric on a wooden loom.
